2. Red vs Blue: Reconstruction (8.5)
The Reconstruction series picks up after Recovery One. The main protagonist is a soldier named Agent Washington, a Freelancer mercenary. The series follows him as he investigates an attack on an outpost by a mysterious entity known only as the “Meta”, which has also been killing members of Project Freelancer and stealing their partner AIs and their armor upgrades. While pursuing a lead he is sent to Blood Gulch to find more information about the Omega AI, believed to have been recently acquired by the Meta. Each episode begins with a memo from a series of increasingly tense responses between the Director of Project Freelancer and the Chairman of the Oversight Sub-Committee. (Source: Wikipedia)
I’m in love with this show. I thought that the shift from a mainly comedy series to a more serious storyline wouldn’t work out, I was very wrong. I had a lot of laughs and was engaged throughout the story. There are a lot of twists throughout and the production quality overall is amazing. I will be definitely re-watching this over and over again.
